I asked 5 participants to perform usability testing. The testing was conducted at a residence and the 5 participants are a group of 3 females and 2 males. I gave the participants with the same task: “This is the scenario. To begin, you have a child in 2nd grade and he/she loves adventure. We will assume that you have downloaded and logged in to the TinyTale app with an iPad or tablet device. You want to find your child an appropriated storybook so that you can read it to him/her.” All participants completed the given task. All participants had no hesitation when searching for a storybook. All participants stated the app theme colors look fun and the layout is suitable for their kids and easy to use. However, they pointed out some areas where needed improvements.
